Ted 2 (2015) Review

Now after I really enjoyed the first Ted it is only a matter of time before I got around to watching the sequel, well it took 3 days.

Ted is getting married to his girlfriend Tammi-Lynn, while John has gotten divorced from Lori 6 months prior. A year later after the wedding Ted and Tammi-Lynn are arguing more than ever and then decide it is time for them to have a baby. When they go through the process of adoption, it is discovered that the United States Government dont class Ted as a human and instead as property. This causes Ted’s life to fall apart as every aspect is taken away from him, including his job and his marriage. Ted needs to win a case in proving that he should be classed as a human being.

The story is a lot better in my opinion then the first, due to it being something different. How often do you hear of a comedy based on a teddy bear looking for human rights, exactly never. It was interesting seeing how everything was going to happen and to see what Ted would need to do in order to get his old life back. Surprisingly I found myself paying a lot more attention to this movie then the first.

Once again, the comedy style is perfect for me but also once again if you do not like dark humour then you are not going to enjoy this movie.

So Mila Kunis is not in this movie and has been replaced by Amanda Seyfried, so does it make a huge difference? I don’t really think so, yes Mila did a great job in the first movie but personally Amanda did just as good a job as her replacement. She brought her own style of comedy to the movie, plus her on screen relationship with John was amazing so there are no complaints from me.

The rest of the cast do their jobs just as well as in the first movie, making for an equally enjoyable movie.

I do wish the movie was 2 hours long though, as a lot of the time it did feel like it was dragging things out and taking things a little bit too seriously for a comedy movie. If they cut it down to about an hour and a half then I personally think it would have been a much better movie.

Decent story, dark humour, pretty good acting but slightly too long. If you have seen Ted and want some more then Ted 2 will not let you down.
