Scott Pilgrim and The Infinite Sadness Vol 3 Review

We are onto the third volume now and I am just going to keep going as I have just bought the rest of the set and can’t wait to get into this series even more.

Ramona’s third evil ex-boyfriend, Todd Ingram, is currently dating the former love of Scott Pilgrim’s life! Envy Adams broke Scott’s heart a year and a half ago. Now she and her evil art-rock band are back, and they’re getting Scott’s band to open a show two days from now! That’s just enough time for Scott to fight Todd, keep Ramona happy, fend off demented ex-girlfriends, and practice that new setlist. Right?

So far this is my favourite instalment into the series so far and it is because we get so much backstory it is brilliant. Not only that but we get to find out a bit more into the mysterious past of ramona flowers. This is what the series needed as it is all well and good having a mysterious main character but if you don’t get to find out much about them then it does start to get boring. Now that we have got a little bit of information then we can start asking a few more questions about Romana and hopefully start to get some answers. We also get to find out more about Scotts past with Envy and also a little bit more with Kim, which for me is always great.

I absolutely loved the vegan section they included and it does seem to be a little bit ahead of its time with the joke seeing how this book was released in 2006 and the vegan meme came along in 2010’s.

The art style once again is always great to look at and is one of the main reasons why I keep coming back to this series as I just want to see more.

One thing I do want to know more about is the world as I want to know why this seems to be such a normal thing with fighting exs and stuff and why Scott gets granted power ups but it looks like I will have to wait and see if.
