Black Mirror Season 4 Review

After watching the first three seasons of black mirror last year and fell in love with it I couldn’t wait to watch the newest season and that is exactly what I did the day it came out. Anyway, it is time for a review.

Like every season of black mirror each episode has a different story, this means you don’t have to binge the whole show to be able to understand everything (yet I did anyway).

I don’t want to spoil much of the story as it is what makes the show great so ill give a brief description of each one.

Episode one is about an online game where the creator has his own offline copy where he is doing things that aren’t allowed.

Episode two is about a parent who loses her daughter for a few hours and couldn’t handle it happening again so get a device installed in her which will control her daughter life, but she didn’t realise how bad it would go for her.

Episode 3 is about an accomplished architect who will do anything to keep a dark secret hidden.

Episode 4 is about a new dating app that allows people to find the one.

Episode 5 is about some scavengers trying to get an item for a dying friend

And finally Episode 6 is about an old museum and the story behind some items that are kept there.

I know that my descriptions of the episode aren’t the best but i don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t yet seen this season. I loved the story in each episode (except for maybe episode 5) as it made you want to keep watching and finding out more about what is going to happen next and what is going to happen to this character.

The acting as well is also amazing, I couldn’t fault a single one of them, they made you want to keep watching just as much as the story as if they didn’t play their parts right then it wouldn’t make for a good show. I have got to give big props to Letitia Wright and her performance in the final episode as she was simply flawless.

The music that is chosen in certain part of this series is great and makes you take note of the music which just adds to the atmosphere of the whole show which in something like this it is really needed.

For me this was the best season of Black Mirror yet, I loved everything from the acting to the music to the story. I can’t fault the show and it just makes me hope that Charlie Brooker picks his pen up straight away and start on season 5.
