I have been really enjoying reading through this manga and after finishing one book i just want to jump straight into another. Anyway, it is time for a review.
Saitama is going to take the test to become an official hero after being mistaken for a member of a group of bad guys due to being bald. After taking the test he manages to just scrape through due to his amazing physical performance, however Genos manages to get a perfect score and out ranks his master. Due to Saitama being in class C if he doesnt stop a crime at least once a week then he will be removed from the hero directory and no longer be recognised as hero and will no longer get paid to be one.
The story in this volume is decent enough for me to actually want to know more and when it ended it actually saded me as I felt like we were finally getting a little bit deeper into it. I want to find out more about what is going to happen between Saitama and Genos especially seeing how Genos is now a higher ranking hero and if he will eventually give up and trying to be as good as his master. I want to know if Saitama is going to be able to rise up the ranks and actually be classed as a high ranking hero just like Genos.
The story actually ended ¾ of the way through the book and instead we got a few bonus chapters that add a little bit more into the past of Saitama. We get to find out what happened to him when he really needs to use the toilet but is trapped inside a giant bowl. And how he managed to defeat a fan. These two chapters were actually really good to read and allowed of more funny moments to be included in the book.
I still love the art and i start to look forward to when new heroes or monsters are shown as each one just seems somehow even weirder than the last. My personal favourites for this volume was the seaweed monster and the tank top tiger.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series as I want more funny comments are face reactions from saitama and see what is next in line for the two heroes.
